+1

Even if the issue resolved itself today the supply chain reverberations throughout the globe are going to lead to lower and slower growth along with more volatility.

The CT scan images in this story are terrifying. Having worked in Radiology as long as I did, I have seen how various viruses have affected people over the years. These images are the first thing about this virus that actually have me concerned.

https://www.foxnews.com/health/first...cker-diagnosis

I recognize that how the virus interacts with a person is largely dependent on individual genetics and other environmental factors but damn, these are terrible.

My favorite part is that I’ve read most everyone shows the same symptoms for about a week. Starting on week two, you either get better or it gets drastically worse rapidly.

Sounds like fun, can’t wait to catch this virus then count the days down. Choking to death has always been high on my must do list!

I'm pretty confident it's already here and it isn't the border you have to worry about. Air travel is the easiest/fastest way for this and other viruses to spread quickly around the globe.

A close second I'm guessing via foreign ships/shipping etc.

It's worse than that IMO. According to Rush it's another conspiracy to take down Trump.

So you are saying the hundreds of illegals coming across daily are no problem?

We can screen all air travelers with temperature probes and we are gearing up to do that. Hard to scan what you can't see.

If you want the straight skinny see Chuck Schumer

But yea Rush..he did not even realize you could vitamin D in pills

For simplification purposes, (without going down the entire illegal immigrant debate road), I'm saying they aren't the problem for this reason. Once the coronavirus is in the US (which, I think it is) the point of illegal immigration for the reason it got here is a moot point. It most certainly either got here via an airplane or ship already.

How long does it take to fly to Mexico City from any number of asian countries and drive to the u.s. border?...Two. Can't you see that??

Over 100,000 passengers per day pass through Mexico City International airport. I have a very good friend who lives in Mex. and works for Google. He flies out of Mexico city dozens of times per year.

How many flights/ships have come and continue to do so directly to the US from countries that have active infections? It doesn’t need to go via Mexico City or Canada and cross the border to get here.

How long does it take for patient 0 at Mexico City international to infect someone who is going to cross our border illegally? That's the dumbest assertion I've seen on here in a while.

Nice appreciation, MK.

Considering that transmission can be made while patient 0 is not showing signs of infection, your infatuation with illegal immigration is highly misplaced.

Your level of reading comprehension is clearly very low.

Step One. Infected person flies to Mexico City from another country.
Step Two. Infected person travels to the border infecting others along the way.
Step Three. Infected person along with their infected cohort make their way into the US, thereby bringing the virus, along with a whole host of additional infected into the country.
Step Four. Infection is spread throughout the border region and works its way into the central parts of the country.

I don't even know why I try.

But why the focus on MX City? Our ports and entry points are open to travelers from all over the world. Are we advocating for a closed border everywhere?

Lungs usually look like that from aspiration pneumonia, inhaling stomach contents where the stomach acid burns the lungs. Likely leads to lung scarring and permanent impaired function.

While the odds are that if you get this virus you will live, you might be pretty messed up long term. You might have no symptoms at all.

Again, I wasn't too worried about this until I saw these images. I am sure there are plenty of others out there. Scary stuff indeed. I do worry about my elderly family members as it seems to disproportionately strongly affect boomers.
