Sense a pattern? Dude, you need to move.
I actually mentioned the TN thing to my wife. She's not 100% against it. It would be a retirement thing. We are too rooted here in Seattle right now. Both sets of parents are here in and in their late 70s. Not moving till, you know, the inevitable. She's also got just under 10 years left on her commercial lease for her clinic. She'd have to sell the clinic so we could move and then start all over from scratch. We've done that once already. Not itching to do it again.

Red light camera's were pretty much abolished in Arizona, and the speeding cams removed from the highways. Compliance became almost nil in the courts. However, with tow trucks in the city enforcing the law, what chance ya got?
Probably show up and fight all tickets.Hire an attorney?

Props - makes sense to me. Heck, you could probably sell a house in the Seattle market and just live off the proceeds here in TN, lol.

The law is too soft, the original proposal was to impound the car after 5 violations, now they watered it down to 15 per year. Way too many drivers break the law and threaten cyclists, pedestrians and other drivers. It is a step in the right direction, but a very small step.

I've always considered NYC to be a shithole... after I managed to crack a 16" wheel on a pothole there.

I can't decide what I hate driving through more though... NYC or the entire state of NJ.

This may be the most ridiculous thing I've read on the internet today.

You realize how easy it is to get "caught" in an intersection during heavy traffic?

I'm sorry but this got to be the dumbest thing I've ever read. You do realize cyclist and motorcycles are one of the biggest problems in NYC. They create their own laws and do whatever they please. They think they own the streets.
Pedestrians in the city are in their own world. The other boroughs, people are more civilized.

Pretty clear that NYC doesn’t want personal cars. Big bird has said it in addition to allowing the addition of 50k+ tlc cars to NYC streets since 2012.

The only solution is to pack up and go. We don’t belong in this city. From illegals without insurance hitting my car in front of my house to now having licenses. NY cares more about illegals than residents who pay an insane amount of tax.

The churro lady had a gofundme set up when she got arrested for committing a crime. Where’s the gofundme for my car? Oh right, I have some dignity.

At one intersection in the Bronx there was a red light cam. It was riddled with bullet holes so I believe they removed it.

Now that is the most idiotic thing i have ever read. A pedestrian has never killed a driver. Drivers speed, text, double park, block intersections and bicycle lanes - while operating multi ton machinery in the public right of way. Bunch of drivers are stoned on pot and whatever else.

The cameras donít even trigger until the speed is 10mph over. The new law is way too soft.

If you read what I said I clearly said people in the city. They jump in front of you on green lights. You must be one of them Brooklyn hipsters. If you read the stats, bicycles have injured more people. I also was speaking about passenger cars while you're going off on a tangent with trucks

You can't even cross the street without some inconsiderate driver blocking the fcking crosswalk in the city. Try spending some time on foot.

Love the city but hate the current admin. We have cut back our time there to a once in a while dinner or a game or concert at MSG. Diblasso gotta go.

Yup. I hardly go in anymore. Concerts and the occasional dinner. That's about it. I despise broadway so that's out.

Speaking of concerts. We are going to see the eagles this weekend at the Garden. Should be a cool show.

Ummmmm, ok so when will equal application of the laws then be applied? Jay walkers? Pedestrian walking and texting, or even video calls I've seen, completely oblivious or uncaring about their whereabouts or what's going on around themselves. Public consumption of marijuana is out of control. Just walk down Madison Ave at lunch time. And the public right if way is a broad statement which is not based upon reality. 8 to 80 and you're cognizant of your responsibility as well in reagrd to roadways. Yes, a pedestrian has the right of way, when actually in a crosswalk, when actually crossing with the light, when not irresponsibly placing themselves in harm's way. Or do you propose a pedestrian walking along a highway has the right of way too? Bicycle lanes are a hoot! City has spent millions upon millions to make them, and we see a bike here and there. Want to talk about those bike riders who ride opposite the flow of traffic? They have the right of way too vs a vehicle? How about vs a pedestrian? Aren't those lanes for bikes only?

As for the Spd Camera operation 10mph threshold for activation, you're obviously a Dunning Kruger Graduate because you don't know what you're talking about.

Have a nice day!

Now that you have more cameras, expect stricter front plate citations. Gotta be able to easily grab your plate to send that citation
