Don't get me wrong. I loved every second last season when Max and Lewis were wheel to wheel Hungary and Brazil were fantastic along with many others.
No matter who you root for, almost all the races last year were entertaining.

Well ...Honestly , I would bet everything that I own on MAX ...

Don't forget Bottas won in Australia , Azerbaijan, Japan and in the US .Respect for that !
But...As we know Bottas can not overtake properly .But he wins 4 races anyway .
And that's the proof how fast the Mercs are ..Over the whole season we saw the Mercs ran between 0.2 and 0.4 sec. faster ! That's a sea of time in F1 !
MAX could win his races anyway . By doing more with less !

Bottas's racecraft is definitely not up to par with much of the grid. I would even say that the youngbloods Sainz, Norris, and Albon have shown better skill in this department.

That's actually the whole point of my statement from above . Put MAX in damn Merc and he would show us something .
Hopefully the RB16 can show us this season a good fight with Lewis .
That mate...."That" would be awesome to watch !

Kimi's in the wrong team to have Ferrari money lol As far as the saying once bitten twice shy goes it'll be interesting to see if Seb snaps out of the difficulties that have plagued him before.

I like Kimi a lot, but I think he was adequately compensated when he was at Ferrari. He didnt seem to have the same pace as Vettel most of the time. Not to mention his pace, historically, improved when he was in contract extension talks and fell off once the deal was signed.

Considering what he is earning being at a mid-field team, he's doing quite well given his position.

Kimi was fast then but was nearly always behind Seb,certainly not of the same mindset as Leclerc now.

Agreed. Kimi seemed content playing the role of a number two driver. It seems his complacency hampered Ferrari and Vettel a bit, considering he didnt really push Vettel like Leclerc does these days.

All a bit unfortunate, I really wanted to see him win more races. I was really happy with him getting a win in the USGP a few years ago

We have seen Kimi's reaction to winning when scoring a first for Lotus he said it means more to Lotus than it did him.
The plan in Ferrari for Kimi to be the car tester for Seb and fall guy backfired spectacularly through mismanagement by the team themselves confusing Kimi as to what his role was, exemplified by the disaster at Singapore.

He won't tell us...
One thing is for sure . RB was chicken to lose MAX , and as you know money can buy anything .
This means financial speculation was/is involved in the situation

Max had a chance to drive at Mercedes. He declined it saying, "it wouldn't be good for his career at this point."

Enough said.

Actually not enough my friend
Of course MAX had the chance . But Lewis heard from it and started to look over his shoulder at the prancing horse . Toto had still that smile on his face , but he was really worried .
Both are born winners . In the same team with the fastest car , that would show us a disaster scenario like Ferrari in the last season , or even worse !
MAX would never take orders from Toto to lose a race and give victories away to make his team mate WC again !
MAX always said : "The second place is for a loser"

No, my friend. He had a chance when he went to Red Bull. He declined.

And the myth of Lewis getting wins over BOT because of Merc is just that, a myth. BOT has been told 2x to yield to Lewis in 3 years. That is NOTHING compared the MSC and his relationships with 2nd driver who, contractually, were not allowed to win.

How have you been, dear friend?

Well..Than I heard more than you
The whole situation escalated pretty fast and badly even before the winter stop , at that moment when Lewis open said in the press that he would love to drive for Ferrari as well...
Yep , that was the moment when Toto and Merc said we can better cancel the whole speculation and keep Bottas . That's why Bottas was also unsure about his contract extension for a long time ..
It was time for Bottas to finally hear the good news , because the poor dude heard from it as well while he already struggled with a deep depression ..

For the moment I'm fine and feel better than this morning at 4-AM at work .
Thank you my friend
How are you ?

I'm glad you're doing well, my friend. And I'm doing pretty well, too. Thanks for asking.

I know that BOT was depressed but it's because he has no answer for Lewis on the track. BOT is in that seat because of his performance in the Williams in 2014-2016. He was pipped to be a future WDC. Unfortunately, driving next to Lewis exposes people to his crushing pace without respite. As Anthony Hamilton said, "Lewis destroy's people's careers."

Cheers, my friend!
