My tracker jumped back a few steps from in transit and back to "at the port." I hope it means at the Baltimore port and it's not them marking the car as shipped when it really got left behind and now they're fixing it. The tracker jumped back a few steps to "at the port" which doesn't make sense even if it means at the Baltimore port.

"The port" can mean either actual port (Germany or the destination), or the VPC/VDC. My car was "at the port" 3 times (and "in transit" 3 times).

Looks great but what the heck are some of those options/charges? Auto dimming mirror? I don't think it was listed as an option; I figured it was standard. And the 40/20/40 I thought was also standard. And the M sport calipers? All of those were charges and I thought they were standard or I didn't know they were separate options.

They are standard that’s why it says they are included… BMW USA include a few things as ‘standard’ that say the European market doesn’t eg sunroof (more sun in the states??)

I think they just know that everyone in the U.S. will option the sunroof, so they just make it included and add the price to the base cost.

Like he said, that's how windows stickers look. It says "included", so no additional charge for anything that you mentioned.

Ah jeez, I had to bend my neck like an owl to read the window sticker and looks like I whiffed on aligning those features with the price.

My mistake. I knew it sounded off when I was reading it but I figured something was wrong, either me or the order guide I was given by my CA.

All good. I am slightly curious why the executive package doesn’t mention the ceramic controls but worse things have happened.

Also, aren't the rear passenger shades also power? I see the tab to pull them at the top of the retracted shade. I thought they went up and down via a button. Couldn't see the passenger door clearly enough to make out the button.

No, those are not power. I think 7 and 8 series are the only two that are powered. I remember having them in my 6 series as well, but from my understanding the 5 series was always manual for the passanger. Only the rear window is powered via button.

I see. Yet another thing I misread.

The rear power shade is automatic with the Executive Pkg on the 550i. The side shades are manual.

Yeah, I'm getting that now. The way it was worded online or on the order sheet, it made it seem the rear and side shades were, both, power. Not a big deal but more of a cool factor thing. I leave them up most of the time on my other cars so I don't expect to be moving them too much but power shades would've been nice.

I picked it up last night! This thing is a WEAPON and the B&W sound system is sublime. The growl in Sports mode is... just awesome. And surprisingly decent fuel economy on the highway phew.

The phytonic blue/red caliper/mocha color combo hits the spot for me.
