Leather wear on the bottom lumbar support
I have a problem with my leather seats discolouring and my car is barely 3 years old. The area seems to be where my bottom lumbar area sits and appears to be where my lower back comes into contact with the upright section of the chair.
I originally thought it was dirt, so I bought an Autoglym leather cleaning kit only to find it was dye coming off the leather itself and I actually made it a little worse when I agitated the area. I know there are ways to have this repaired (so not entirely annoyed), but how do I prevent this happening? I sit in my car for 2.5 hours a day (120 miles daily), so if left as-is, this will gradually get worse over time. I've even taken to taking off my belt before I drive or stuffing a microfibre cloth between my jeans and belt, as this could rub against the area which seems ridiculous! Surely it should last longer than this and how do I repair / protect it moving forward? P.S. I'll take photos later today

Do you wear a belt and does it come into direct contact with the seat back? Though that location appears a bit low to be a belt.

So I thought I'd update the thread a little.
I have spent a bit of time trying different products to see if I can shift that bottom lumbar mark. In short; I can't. I've tried going back over it numerous times with my AutoGlym leather shampoo, used a microfibre cloth, medium brush, steam cleaner, you name it, but it actually got a little worse. I followed AMMO NYC's leather cleaning guide without any luck: I then tried with sugar soap which actually had a really good effect on the rest of the leather, which I then followed up with autoglym leather cleaner, and cream. In a nutshell, I'm just very disappointed on how badly the seats wear. I plan to try a warranty claim with BMW as my car is still under manufacturers warranty and there is simply no reason that after just 60k km's, the seat should look this way. My next car will either have alcatara seats again (really do prefer these), or black leather seats. Oyster just looks terrible after 5 minutes of use (jean stains and these hideous lumbar marks).

Either way I can't stand leather seats....they are an absolute palaver. Goodness knows what they'll look like in four years when I sell the car! I've only had it 11 months!
