Experiment with me please,

On my car 2019 M550,
At partial throttle say 4th gear at 30mph, if I'm in sport plus and go to just "sport" I feel the same as when I go from comfort to eco mode, you know where you need to press pedal 1/4" further to keep same soft increase in speed.

So I'm feeling same when When i am at a soft throttle slash cruising when I go from sport plus to just sport? I get a kick in the pants like going from eco to comfort. Anyone else want to try and let me know?

I asked Dinan if their unit was mode specific, but I doubt that. I thought sport plus was sport plus some extra "everything".

My brother with M750 only has sport and sport individual and no sport plus, so he cant help?

Let me know if anyone happens to notice same thing?

Thanks all

This is my take on it, although I could be wrong, I've only had it a month:

Sport = improved throttle response, changes steering & suspension, doesn't change transmission settings

Sport plus = same improved throttle response, stiffest suspension and steering settings; puts it in sporty transmission settings

Sport individual = you get to modify it to be whatever you want.

Bigger difference was on the 3 series Sport + activated the traction setting in DSC so you could get a little wheel spin but didn't fully deactivate DSC

If you're using Sport+ try flicking the transmission selector to left to engage Sport mode. Trans in Sport mode will work in conjunction with any of the drive modes (eco, comfort, sport)

Thanks guys,
I get how the modes are supposed to work. I'm asking you to give it a try and see if anyone notices the same thing with a car with sport and sport plus.
See if on very light throttle switching from sport plus to sport or visa Versa and see if there is a difference

Yes all tests were done in manual at a very lite throttle pressing. Each time I went from sport plus to sport I got a boost, and when I'd go from sport to sport plus I'd lose some pedal. I took a vid of it, even the sports displays show a big difference. It's very strange but wanted to know if everyone else's was the same?
Question basically is
Does everyone else's sport have better throttle response than sport plus at very lite gradual acceleration?

I must have read the OP all wrong. I'll give this a shot

Thanks,
I'm trying to figure out why my sport plus is less than my just sport.
Today I programmed individual sport to highest setting for each and now sport individual and sport are same and when it goes into sport plus it's like going from comfort to eco mode, you know you have to press pedal a little further to keep same power.
Very strange
Let me know how you modes differ
Thank you

I drive in sport 90% of the time. My comfort is just too comfortable for me (weak throttle response, and soft ride) but good when family are aboard. My sport plus is definitely more aggressive than sport: more responsive throttle, and holds gears much longer than sport. Havent tried your experiment of switching while cruising, but my sport plus is definitely not a step down from sport

At same gear, sport will be stronger pedal-for-pedal because sport plus throttle is tuned to fit a lower gear than sport auto's gear choice.

Try flipping between plus and regular sport in manual like in video
Or go comfort to sport plus and see if you notice a bump in power or nothing like mine does

So took my friends car out this morning and I definitely screwed something up when coding my car to default in sport individual on start up with engine in sport plus.

My car has no jump in pedal response from comfort to sport plus, his does as I suspected.
Dealer is going to reflash next week for me
Tech said I could have un paired what sport plus engine setting was to now the plus engine setting is same as comfort.
