TPMS threshold - can I code it?

I'm one of those weird people who don't like to drive on hyper-inflated bricks for tires like BMW wants us to. So I have about 33 PSI on all four corners on my OE all season runflats. BMW wants me to put 41/35 of air pressure, so now I'm getting all kinds of low pressure warnings when the temperatures drop below 80. I've changed the tire selection around, but all of the choices still have at least 41 psi in the rear. I have 19".

Is there a way to code (using Bimmercode) or otherwise change the limits so that I can put in my low pressure and enjoy the smooth ride in the winter without getting warnings all of the time and that annoying bright yellow TPMS light?

Thanks.

Don't know about coding but would changing the type of tyre you have in the idrive help in any way (essentially saying you have different tyres to what you actually have)

Those figures are quite different from what bmw have stated , I'm no expert but a side effect be more wear on the sides ?

The manual notes a procedure to set the target pressure.

Well.... this is how it has always worked, and how I did it. Supposedly you set the pressure in the tires, reset the system, and that's where it should be. The current pressure is the current target. The warning only pops up if you get 20% below that (or some such threshold).

However, that's not what is going on. I do this, and I still get the low pressure warning. At the bottom of the TPMS window it says "BMW recommends 41 PSI for the rear tires" or some such nonsense.

I guess I can take a picture next time.

I tried all of the options available to me. Well... within the all season category. I did not try to tell it that I have summer tires (tyres) since I assumed that they would have as high or higher pressure. But that's worth a try.

You know what happens when you assume.

Thanks all.
