Adding Microsoft Exchange after build

Can someone help me with a question on Microsoft exchange?

I have not ordered it but can it be added after delivery?

Yes, through coding.

EDIT: Not through coding alone

I have purchased it for one pound on a test but how do I get it to link up to my office like I can link my exchange to my tablet?

Most likely way to setup Microsoft exchange is also via your logon to Connecteddrive Portal, your car then gets all the emails from Multiple accounts

I dont seem to see Microsoft Exchange as an option in the types of email account that can be set up? Will I have to do the user defined option, which seems tricker and beyond my grade.

I had the same issue. After some investigation it turned out that it is an actual ConnectedDrive service which you need to subscribe to (1 Eur for one month trial, then more) and you must have a MS Office 365 account in order to be able to use it.
Additionally it's not available in every country: it is in Germany and the UK but it's not in the BeNeLux for example.

I ordered the MS Exchange option with my G30.
When I took delivery the dealer couldn't activate it and after some days came back to me saying it could never work and I should have my money back for that option.
I wouldn't accept that and said I would wait, in the meantime I wrote to BMW Germany complaining and they pushed the issue back to BMW UK.
I then entered something like a circus and I had emails from some techies saying it wouldn't work and had been discontinued, another said some users were having issues and yet another said there were no problems. My dealer had no clue of where to go with this.
In the end I paid my £1 through the connected drive screen for 1 months MS Exchange. It took a few minutes to set it up and works perfectly. I then went back to the dealer and told him what I had found. He talked to BMW UK and still got the run around, it seems there is no way they can enable this option once its left the factory So we comprised in the end, I've just paid £170 for 3 years MS Exchange and my dealer is refunding the money I originally paid.

You couldn't make it up

The Exchange option does work very well though.

I believe it can be added afterwards you just need to have an office 365 account. My problem is/was I do not have office 365. The connected drive tried to allow me to set it up via the idrive but i had no log in to 365 as i have no account. When my firm goes to office 365 I shall use it but in the meantime have just re-directed my work emails to aol and have that set up in the car via the normal connected drive portal.
