We're here live and bring you these in-person photos! The 2018 BMW M550i xDrive starts at $72,100 plus $995 Destination and Handling. It's powered by a specifically modified M Performance TwinPower Turbo 4.4 liter 8-cylinder engine outputting 456 hp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 480 lb-ft from just 1,800 rpm, propelling the BMW M550i xDrive Sedan from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and then on to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. It also features BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive with rear-wheel bias and a bespoke M Performance chassis set-up. It really does. They took the outgoing 5er and improved it in every way especially mad it look less chubby. I love it.

I saw the G30 today on the road and it certainly looks much better in person. It was without badging but I believe it was a 540, it looked more athletic than the out going 5'er. The taillights are big but it doesn't take away from the overall design.

BMW has been doing it outside the USA since about 2009 with "Sport" or Luxury" or "//M" or "i" badges on the fender. The US doesnt get these and its an option to remove them in most other countries

every time i see the rear end of the new 5, I can't help but see Acura RLX for some reason. They're not identical, I just have this Acura RLX vibe.

First thing I would do if I got the M550i is sell those 275/30's and slap on some 285/30's.
Don't know why 285's aren't factory in the first place... Diameter-wise, they match up better for all-wheel drive to the 245's up front than the 275's. |

I think the 550 is absolutely gorgeous. I honestly can't see how they are gonna make a M5 with this car out there. The front fascia has bigger intakes compared to the normal 5er. This car is sub 4 sec 0-60..upgraded suspension and basically 24k less haha.
I'm thinking the M5 0-60 has to be near 3sec flat or even sub 3sec and the qtr mile which to me is more impressive than 60 times will be insane gota be in the 11s. But looks wise I'm very curious what they will do to make the M5 standout from this already gorgeous 550 time will tell hehe |
