Full digital dash in USA. It's what I have.

I just got my car yesterday and it has the full digital dash. From this forum, I was expecting that not to be the case. Anyhow, I'm not sure if there is mixed production or if it was an unfounded concern.

If that is the case, wouldn't 6WB show on the order sheet?

Also, had heard various claims that US MY2018 models and/or M550 would have the full digital dash, but US 2018 M550 being delivered now still have the partial LCD.

E.g., see 2:13 in this US M550 walkaround:

He says he learned from this board not to expect all digital, so one must assume he saw all of the pictures and heard all of the descriptions and complaints... to claim full digital after that would seem crazy... to drop the idea and disappear is just crazy mean...

I just took European delivery of my 540i three days ago and it does not have full digital dash. Not sure what this guy is talking about.

No offense but these threads keep repeating themselves. There are many sites out there that promise to replace your display, but mention that your dealer needs to be involved to ensure the reset of your Odometer is official etc. If Dealers are willing to do this I assume it will come at quite a premium above the cost of the part.
I really do not think there is any viable option (for now) unless your car comes with this. Until someone, ANYONE, confirms a reasonable retrofit I stand skeptical.

Not doubting what you are saying, but then why would it be listed as a retrofit (not repair/replacement) part by BMW in their own parts system?

I didn't initially read that this was an official BMW retrofit. If that is the case I am fully on board and will talk to my guy on Monday... If that is the case however, why oh why is this not just an option they can mark-up while purchasing?

The lack of a digital dash is not as bad as not having a motorized trunk closer on a $75,000 luxury car. The G30 has been in production for 5 months and they still can't ship them with a trunk closer. I picked up my 540i x today. If you value clean hands and clean clothes my recommendation is to hold off until they fix this. I told my wife that she needs to wear disposable gloves when she goes to the grocery store with my car. Or since the grocery is four blocks away just walk.
