iOS 13.1.3/BMW Wireless Charging Issue?
Ever since updating to iOS 13.1.3 on Tuesday, I’ve been experiencing my phone (11 Pro Max) getting quite warm and actually eventually losing charge while on the wireless charger in my car (2018 BMW 540).
It had been working fine prior to the update, both in terms of charging and not getting too warm, so I’m strongly inclined to think something change in iOS 13.1.3 either in terms of wireless charging or with CarPlay/the connection to the car that is burning battery and heating up the phone. I have tried unpairing and deleting the phone from the car/car from the phone but it is still happening. It charges fine wirelessly and when plugged in outside of the car. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Hey guys, Get your wireless charging pad looked at and tested by BMW.
Mine was doing the exact same thing. Not charging, phone overheated, orange instead of blue indicator. Initially BMW denied my claim after the technician tested with their phone for only a minute or two but I was adamant about it and told them to test again for an extended period. Ended up with a new charging pad flown in from Germany, the replacement part also have been improved with a grippier texture which is good, the Display Key doesn’t slidibg around anymore when changing. |

Mine is a 2017 model, built in Germany as well.
