Congrats on the upgrade! I agree that the interior and overall quality of the G30 is far superior than the previous model. You'd expect some sort of step up when entering into the next generation of any model of car, however, this generation change in particular was REALLY a step up, IMO.

I haven't had the squeaking that you're talking about so I can't help there. Hope it either goes away or it's something the dealer can reproduce and fix it.

Enjoy your car in good health!
It is now unbelievable remembering some people claiming they preferred the interior of F10 when G30 first came out. A popular forum member here was arguing this with me.

Is there anybody here that still thinks F10 interior is better?

Did some wrap work. Roof, mirrors and had the M-performance rocker panel pieces recreated in gloss. She's coming along!

The interior and tech in the G30 are light years ahead of the previous platform, and the power plant is really better suited for AWD.

Mine is a 2018 with all available options except night vision and rear entertainment. Just a few pics for now, but I'll be active as I mod.

By the way, do anyone else's front arm rests (drivers and passengers doors) squeak and creak like crazy? I'm taking it in to dealer, but not sure if it's an epidemic. Cheers!
Do you miss the sharpness of the M5 handling or does the m550 enough?

Not at all. The AWD is a game changer.

It is a game changer! Kills anything off the line compared to feathering and trying to get launches right in the M5.

Well, my F10 was solid as a bank vault with zero rattles even after three years old, and the F10 Luxury seats were more comfortable than my G30 Luxury seats. My G30 has spent 20 working I days in the shop to fix rattles, and they are still not fixed.

The G30 is a bit more modern, but I would trade the looks for the quality. The build quality in general went down as they tried to save weight and money on the G30.

The plastics are abundant in the G30 compared to both f10's I had. My M5 and 535 both yes felt like a better or more solid interior compared to my M550.

True no squeaks or rattles for me either at 7500 miles. It's solid

UPDATE: Dealer replaced some bushings in both door panels. Squeaking and creaking is GONE! I am a very happy camper.

Exclamation F10 M5 vs. G30 M550

Im having a hard time choosing my next daily driver. I like the noise and aggression and power of my E60 M5. however I need something a a little newer and more modern. I'm torn between the F10 m5 and the g30 M550i. for those of you who have owned both which one would you rather have.

G30 and it isn’t particularly close. The F10 M5 is a great car, but severely dated at this point. Find a fully loaded M550i like this one! ;-)

Audi may be known for Quattro, but BMW's xDrive is overall a better performance AWD system. They really waited until they had it just right.

Hey there, I just picked up a 20' 540, getting so creaking squeaking similar to you from the passenger side. My first thought was the seat bolts needed tightened or something. Do you have an invoice or something that indicates what bushing exactly was replaced? I can't find anything that looks like a bushing on the door panel in realOEM. Thanks!
