Nope, whatever I do it automatically disables. Maybe the coding wasn't done properly.

Could well be the regional spec of the car , I was never able to get this working in Australia on my G01 ID6.

Hope you folks figure it out. It seems like AU spec might be a common thread.

I have a Canadian M550i with 5AT and 5DN and a build date in October 2017. The paper manual does not show lane change assist.

I have E-Sys 3.30.1, launcher pro 2.8.1 and PSdZData lite 4.36.22. I don’t see Spurwechselassistent in HU_NBT2 nor C_SWA_Vorhanden in SAS2. I’m guessing this is because I have esys setup wrong (my first time if it isn’t obvious), or would it mean my car has no chance to get this to work?

That launcher will not have mapping. That is why you cannot find.

I purchased bimmerutility and coded the 3 values. Worked on the first shot. Nothing new shows up in Idrive, but the car changes lanes automatically when the signal is on. (Don’t need to hold down the lever) My software was updated by the dealer in April ‘22.

Like most features of this nature, it’s mostly a party trick, with some utility, and also a little bit scary to experience the first time.

UPDATE - While I was driving abroad these days it crossed my mind that I should try this function when driving assistants are all ON and voila - IT WORKS. Then I've crossed several countries and in all of them it worked with no issue.

However, it is not working in my own country(Serbia). Here SLI also doesn't work by default, but I've coded it and it now does. Not sure if anything else could be done so that lane change assistant starts working too. C_SWA_Land_Aktiv was set to "FF, FF, FF, FF".

It is certainly a gimmick, but my OCD wants this to work.

The 3 codes to be changed are:
HU_NBT:
Spurwechselassistent - Change this to Aktiv

SAS Module:
C_SWA_Vorhanden - Change this to True
C_SWA_Land_Aktiv - You will have to edit the Werte values to "FF, FF, FF, FF"

Strange thing: I got C_SWA_Vorhanden, but I don't see C_SWA_Land_Aktiv in SAS3.
I though find quite a lot of *_Land_Aktiv for RGA etc ...

My new g30 built feb 2023 for the U.K. has it disabled which is odd as it was enabled for my July 2017 g30
( has legislation changed?)

I also notice from vin decode that I have option 8TR which I believe removes it. I could be wrong but thought that was for cars with individual paint. My car does have it
I will ask the bmw genius today although don’t hold hold up much hope they will be able to answer anything remotely technically detailed!

All Psdzdata files are unmapped. You need to use new solution like Bimmer Utility to be able to find values.

I can't find anything related to SWA, I have a bmw g11 2016,and I have 5AT,any help here? I'm using bimmer utility with esys.

I asked a couple of bmw “genuises” but never got a satisfactory answer as to why lane change assistant was enabled on my U.K. 2017 g30 but not on my 2023 g30.

So no luck? I really don't know what to do next, can't find any solution, or reason as why I don't have the codes present there.
