Hi mate,

Here is a list of what I've coded to my M550i;

• Driving modes: comfort plus, eco pro plus, eco pro individual
• M5 theme on my main control display
• 200mph/330kmh cluster (Alpina with additional logo's also possible)
• Extra sound options such as; theatre mode, lounge mode, studio mode etc.
• Headlight eyebrows always on (DRL)
• Mirror turn signals always on (DRL)
• Video in motion
• Start animation to M-style (main control display)
• RR warning chime
• Acoustic lock confirmation (Some European models don't have this option)
• Eco pro routing
• X-drive screen
• Carwash view in PDC mode
• Coded ASD off (Active sound design, produces artificial engine sound trough your speakers in your car. Extremely annoying when you have an additional trunk sub installed)
• Coded temperature gauge to the TPMS-monitor
• Apple audio enhancement
• Fullscreen Apple Carplay
• Rainbow effect ambient lightning

This is for sure not the complete list of my codings. I do not remember them anymore.

I bought the Veepeek adapter from a recommendation of a friend that uses it on his F 30. On our G 30 it will not access all the control modulars. Just started the refund process and ordered the MHD adapter.
Did do some coding but more once the new one comes in.

For me the top ones were:
- Disable Active Sound Design
- B&W Surround Sound options
- Auto Start/Stop memory (this may not work in newer models/firmware)
- Custom ambient lighting colors (ProTool is way better than Bimmercode for this, but you can use Bimmercode if you invest the time to calculate hex values for each color)
- Comfort Plus
- Lane Change Assist
- Disabled the nag to keep my hands on the wheel when using Driver Assistance

I've coded other things as well but these are the ones I personally find most useful. You can find instructions for all of these and more by searching the Forum.

I usually use either an ENET cable or Kies Wi-Fi adapter since coding over Bluetooth is so infernally slow.

Hi Boostin4,

I have a long time experience with the MHD adapters, I have had the MHD-orange (e-series), MHD-Black (F,G & Supra) and the latest one MHD-universal with build in K/D-can switch for E,F,G & SUPRA MK5. All of them work flawlessly.

I do preffer you the MHD-universal adapter because of the fact that it covers the whole BMW family for coding and tunning purposes. I've used it for the following apps;

• Xdelete
• Xhp-flash
• MHD-flasher
• Bimmerutility
• Bimmercode
• Bimmerlink
• Bootmod3
• ProTool

Regarding for software use, I would reccomend you actually the ProTool. It is way more powerful than all other apps out there on the App store.

Buddy,

You can not change the lightning color of the buttons in the interior. The only way to change them to another color is taking everything out of the car and replace the LED's on the boards.

Using ProTool, look at your KOMBI module and find "Cluster Logo." Unfortunately I don't know the underlying coding behind that but it worked for me.

Pretty sure everything everyone mentioned I’ve done most of with BimmerCode or Protool.

I didn’t see anyone mention killing the pop up when switching modes, which I’ve done. Other people in the car don’t need to know and it also takes over the screen for a few seconds which is unnecessary. I’m sure custom ambient light colors is mentioned somewhere above too as well as video in motion.

Anyone coded the turn signals to 5-clicks instead of the 3? 3 is clearly not enough, and back in E90 days I was able to get 5 through Carly and Bimmercode. Don't seem to ever get this coded on the F10, F15, and G30 cars nowadays.

Can't be coded on a Pre-LCI G30, maybe on the LCI, not sure. I miss it from my F10.

Check here first. I did not have the Driving Experience Control toggle in my menu, so I had to code it to get it to show so I could disable it. FWIU, it should be there.

If not, look for pop-ups under head unit in whatever app you are using.
