I've got a G31 520d touring and it seems that the inside of the rear camera has managed to get dirty. The outside is totally clean and no matter how much I wipe it the view is still really blurred and smudged, rendering it almost useless.

Has anyone come across this before or have any idea how to get inside the unit to clean it?

I had this before, exact same issue but on my 2017 G30.
Was able to remove camera assembly and then on my desk carefully disassemble the camera and clean the lens.

It was held together with Torx screws. You need the really tiny ones, but I can't remember the sizes, perhaps T2, T3. You can buy a set easily.

Was an easy job, hardest part was getting to the camera.
