My m550i has had been showing “at the port” status for a week now and I’m getting antsy. What’s been the norm in the past few months? Also, given that it’s going to Galveston, Texas, does anyone know how often boats depart Bremerhaven?

Unfortunately that’s the norm for quite some time now. You see all the steps before this blow by so quickly you start to think I’m getting this car soon but the port can be anywhere from 2-8 weeks unfortunately. I believe there’s one of about 5/6 ships it could possibly be on if headed for US just keep checking the status.

Mine sat there for about a week and a half
If you can find out what shipping company is used you should be able to find out what ship it will go and hence the schedule
Have you got which port it is at for starters? Your dealer should be able to tell you or a bmw genius online

If your dealer can’t tell you do you have the order number? If so you go on to the U.K. website and ask there .

A chat window should pop after a few seconds and you can ask there. They will ask you to confirm the colour to confirm it’s your car

Mine was about a week before it got on a ship. BTW the 550’s leave out of Zeebrugge, Belgium as they’re made in Dingolfing. Better for us than Bremerhaven.

Mine was there 2months in October of 2021 you talk about going insane, I should of been in a straight jacket. From order date untill I received it was 6mo. I hope yours gets loaded soon. It will be worth the wait. I know mine was.

Attached some screenshots for the next few ships that will pick up from Bremerhaven and drop off at Galveston.

Wallenius&Wilhelmsen:"Patriot" will pick up on 4/20 and "Grand Dahlia" on 4/23

K-line: "Victoria Highway" picks up on 4/29 and "Horizon Highway" on 4/30

Delivery to the port of Galveston will happen on the 14th, 15th, or 20th of May, assuming we get on one of these four ships and it doesn't burn down in transit.
