Hey yall!

I have worked with Bimmertech quite a bit, and they have asked me to create a DIY video for their amp upgrade for the G30 5 series. I need a volunteer car for this project


Specifics:
G30 5 series with iDrive 7
Located in the PacNW and can come to my location outside of Seattle.
50% retail, so huge discount to you, no install costs, and a couple hours of your time for me to film the install.

Please let me know, as they are looking to do this project asap.

Now that’s interesting! This means they have an AMP for iDrive 7 cars now? When does it go on sale? We’ve been debating how possible it would be in the forums here.

They will.have it fully launched soon, but want me to have a DIY out asap. I just need a local with the right car who wants the work done! It's a killer deal for cost.

Wish you were closer.. I normally have like 20 folks fighting who gets the projects within minutes, and I have been trying to find someone for weeks now. Weird!

Hopefully it is just the end of COVID impacts and it gets easier quickly. Looking forward to the video.

Based on other feedback on the forum I’m planning their speaker upgrade around this time in 2023 and hearing that an AMP might be available then too

I was hoping to do a cross country drive in my G30, but that’s a few years out if it can happen!

What improvements am I looking at? I just got my 2021 540i today and found the audio to be satisfying.. I also have a 2018 Volvo XC90 Inscription with bowers and wilkins sound and I don't think the G30's HK is that bad even compared to the Volvo. I live in Bellevue so fairly close.

That aside, I have found the HK systems to be only ok, like 5 or 6 at best om a scale of 10. I recently got a loaner G82 M4 for a few days and realized how much better the full Bimmertech setup is in my M2C.

Bimmertech is asking foe a DIY install video for their amp for this car. I can get the amp at significant discount, and of course you keep it when done. Aldo, it's complete plug n play so can change back later if you wish.

I would also suggest alpha one speaker upgrades but that's a different conversion. 8)

Specific update.. it needs to be a G30 with iD7 AND HiFi speakers.. HKs sadly dont qualify at this time.
