coding sailing in Comfort mode

Gents,

can someone help me with coding sailing in comfort mode? I have already done

1. DKOMBI:

Segeln_in_Comfort_Modus — active

2. HU_MGU:

Global_Conf_Sailing — active

Eff_Dyn_Sailing — active

Sailing_Counter — active

There is now a tickbox in iDrive, but sailing in Comfort is still inactive. What did I forget?

Rgds,

Presumably a pre LCI model?

I think I read that the LCI models had this enabled in comfort mode (have I got that correct?)
Must admit I’ve never used comfort on my LCI so can’t confirm that

Yes, it is a 07/2018, hence a pre-LCI model. Sailing works in Eco Pro mode, but not in Comfort (not speaking about Sport). After the coding there is a checkbox Sailing, but even when checked it does not allow sailing in Comfort...:-(. There must be some other coding that I do not know about...

I don't follow. How is it that coasting is needed to be turned on? I think I'm missing something, here. Coasting is just allowing the car to continue without accelerator or braking.

It isn't that kind of coasting. The trans essentially goes into neutral and the rpm drops to idle.

Of course it’s debacle what’s best at a given time
Coasting allows the car to , well coast in neutral so it tends to take a long time to slow down, it does however use a tiny bit of fuel to keep the engine idling
Whereas just taking your foot off the gas will mean the car does slow down due to engine braking but no fuel is used

I’m sure there is a algorithm to determine which is best for a given situation

Thank you for good conversation, but can actually someone advise me how to enable coasting/sailing in Comfort mode? It is a pre-LCI 540i from 2018...

Yeah, that is exactly what I did. There must be a certain part still missing. In ID6 I see a tickbox "Coasting" which is ticked, but Comfort mode still does not enable coasting.

So, I tried yesterday, but no luck. I could not find this:

4)Body Domain Control - FesComfortWorldMode1-> ComfortPlus

I have a pre-LCI 540ix (07/2018).

Now I have a tickbox Comf + on the screen, but I can not tick it and sailing not working in Comfort.

Can anyone help, pls?

Regards

Did you try coding the sailing coding also?
Coasting:
DKOMBI4, Anzeige_Configuration> 10Seglen_In_Comfort_Modus, Change to active
HG_MGU, Global_Conf_Sailing, Change to active.
Eff_Dyn_Sailing, Change to active.
Sailing_Counter, Change to active

I checked and saw fescomfortworld in the BDC cafd. Which software are you two using?
If any of you has ENET cable and windows laptop I can try coding it remotely.

I am using TT/MT 002.109.004

101012313.1.00
and maps J1846D1R

Is there a chance to figure out whether this software can enable sailing in Comfort mode?
