Coral red leather vs. black belt
I could really use some help!
My car is only 6 months old and I recently noticed that the coral red leather on my driver's seat has a dark shadow where my belt would make contact with it. On the lower portion of the seat back and the side bolsters. I've read how Magic Eraser works and also how it's the worst thing ever so to be safe I won't even attempt it. I've tried a few OTC leather cleaners as well as Griot's and Zaino but nothing is working. What do you think can be done to clean the surface without damaging it? Thanks in advance for the help! |

since all colored leather is just dyed, the magic eraser from mr. clean will work just fine, I have also used comet diluted in a bucket of warm water with a clean rag, also oxyclean works wonders, and if you can find a product called dd7 it will clean leather as well.

You can also try a good All Purpose Cleaner like form Adams, Griots, or Chemical Guys. DILUTED ONLY. These cleaners should be able to take that dye out of the seats.
You live in hot ass Arizona, so you need to condition your leather at least every 2 weeks in the hotter months. I have coral red and live in the hot Deep South. I use leather conditioner on the front seats at least once per month and on the rears quarterly to combat such issues.
