I just removed these on my M550. I agree with the prior post, buy a trim kit off of Amazon. I got the Pro Tools Pro Car removal tool kit. It was $12. I started at the bottom, got the wiggle room using my hands, and I started the clips to apply pressure. Work your way up. Eventually you don’t even need to worry about the top two clip pieces, the pressure will work the trim piece out on its own. See the Kies Motorsport video on the F30. Similar concept.

Excellent guidance. Had someone towbar my front, but luckily only the plastic piece. New ordered and with the guide it took 30min to remove and fit the new one. Very happy 😃

I took a long piece of wood (for stirring paint) and just pressed forward for the two back most ones. The others were also relatively easy to pop out (the bottom ones required some more force but not by much - press and pull). I can't see any of the black m sport once's breaking that easily.

Can anyone help me to remove the fog light trim on the normal (non-M) version?

I've already tried pulling but I don't know where the fittings are and I'm afraid of breaking them.

The idea is to take them off to put glossy black vinyl.

Thank you.

You need to remove the front bumper and fog lamps.

Yes, for the non-sport luxury line cars, you have to. I was surprised to learn this as well. If you were thinking of swapping in black ones, just get them wrapped.

Yes, I wanted to take it off to put black vinyl but in this case I'll have to put it on with the piece placed on the bumper.

I'm about to tackle this to swap to carbon. One came off easily but I'm having a bugger of a time with the other. Long screwdriver is next.
