g30 window tint

Hello folks !
I'm going to have my G30 windows tinted but now having second thought about the back glass.
Has anyone had their back glass tinted ? I'm concerned about the defroster creating bubble later on.
Also, there's a yellow warning sticker on driver and passenger front glass, doesn't appear to be a tracking chip. Probably ok to remove ?

Appreciate your kind responses.

A good tint shop can do your back glass in a single piece and you'll be fine. Avoid cheap tint as that stuff is more likely to fail over a couple years and need to be removed and re-done. Removing tint from the back glass and cleaning off the excess glue is a project to do cleanly and without damage to your defroster. Also avoid tint with any metal as your back glass has part of your radio antenna. Choose a ceramic or non dye based carbon based film.

I have never had a problem with back window tinted. Make sure to go with a quality film and reputable installer.

I have been using tinted glass in several cars for more than 15 years and never had problems with bubbles. I would also avoid cheap tints, though as the durability pretty much depends on the quality of the work.

dont want to open a new thread ... I had my windows tinted and after a few months, I realised that there's a thread or a hair inside a "bubble".
has anyone removed the foil from the rear glass??? the guy that installed it claims there's a huge risk of defroster filaments beeing ripped off.
i really dont know what to do

If the tint shop knows what they're doing they can remove the film from the rear glass without damaging the defroster lines. Theres several techniques that work to remove the film cleanly.

Usually a tint shop will spray ammonia, I believe. Its the stuff found in a lot of window cleaner solutions and is the same reason why tint shops tell you to make sure not to use any window cleaner that contains it.

The chemical will make the glue soft and you will be able to pull off the tint without damaging anything. Its still best to let the professionals at the tint shop do it.

Cheap tints degrade much faster over time and a good shop will be able to remove all the old tint, clean the windows, and reapply tint.

Two things when it comes to tint: 1) Purchase good quality ceramic tint. Ceramic tints usually don't affect signal quality and they reflect heat much better, so you don't have to go as dark. 2) Find a tint shop that will warranty their work for the life of the tint. That way if any bubbling does occur, they will fix it.

I've found out that that is a worthless "warranty." When it comes to using the warranty, their excuse is the failure is where the life of the product ends. The "life of the product" is quite variable.

This is 100% true, they only warranty their work for life. Meaning the life of the tint itself.
