My M550i continues to show “At the Port” on the BMW site, which has been the case for 17 days. However, my client advisor (who happens to own the dealership and is a close personal friend) made some calls and found that my car departed on the Drive Green Highway on April 3rd and should arrive in Galveston (before being transported to me in Dallas) around April 20th!

Has anyone else experienced seeing/receiving such outdated information from BMW Genius? Just for kicks, I called moments ago and they’re still saying “At the Port.” I find it surprising they can be so far behind in updating.

As another recent example, my wife took delivery of her new X3 about ten days ago, which showed “In Transit” long after it had arrived at the dealership.

Again, just curious if anyone else has experienced the same.

I've seen numerous posts referencing the delay in information. Seems to be common. The dealer always has more accurate information, though.

Update: BMW Genius has finally updated and showing my car to be "In Transit." It appears confirmed to arrive in the Port of Galveston on 4.21, so I am anticipating delivery in Dallas the week of 4.24.

Now I plan to find a buyer for my 2018 black/black M3 Competition (45K miles), which shouldn't be too difficult. It's been an amazing car, but I suppose it's time to drive something a little more "age appropriate." My wife will be very pleased, as she has always found the M3 to be too loud and bumpy for her taste. The M550i should be the best of all worlds!

Looks like both of our cars are on Drive Green Highway! Dealer and Genius confirmed for me today. Once it gets to the VPC they will check for any damages and make necessary repairs. Hopefully nothing too major and we get on a truck sooner than later!

I would check what the dealer offers for the M3. The tax credit from trading it in could be worthwhile in some cases.
