Maintenance plan or DiY

Folks
My spark plugs, engine filter, cabin filter and oil change will be coming up in 6 months. I can add maintenance plan for a year for $1000 and all this would be covered. Or I can do it myself with parts (excluding oil change) for $270.
My question to you all Is changing spark plugs and air filter and easy job ?

Spark plugs brakes rotors require more expertise

That's about 400 to 500 bucks worth of parts.
Ask your self how much is your time worth?
Everything except the plugs is easy. The plugs on the v8 might be
A pain. ( Never done them)
