Battery/Jumpstart

Hi guys. This may sound stupid but this is the first time I've been faced with this.

I drive and 2017 530i and my wife drives a 2017 X5. Both vehicles only have a positive battery terminal under the hood. How would I be able to jumpstart either vehicle with the other if they both only have positive battery terminals?

This question stems from me being in the process of updating the firmware in my wife's car. I don't have a charger so I was going to use my 530i (while running) to power my wife's X5 during the firmware update.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

there should also be a marked position in the engine bay that you snap the -ve connector on to.
