I have a Valentine V1 in my M550. I just followed the guide online at Blendmount that lets you select based on your mirror housing. Worked perfectly and was very straightforward. The housing may vary depending on your options.

This is car specific and radar specific. If you have certain driver's assistance packages, your mirror housing will be different than someone who doesn't. So go through the online selection guide, and it'll present you with a few options. Choose at the end the mirror housing you have, and order that particular model.
Unless you have another way of tapping in (directly to fuse), get the power tap cables (I opted for the slightly longer cable). There are a few videos on YouTube on how to remove the mirror housing and tapping into the mirror. |

Thanks all! I just saw so many options on their website but I’ll take a closer look at the mirror and chose based on that!
Marsb, did you purchase the blendmount power tap cables? |

I’m using their mirror tap, too. Dealer did it for me before delivery. Looks and works great—although make sure it is tapped into the mirror, not the rain sensor as that apparently always draws power and the detector won’t turn off. They had to redo it, which only took a few minutes. You could probably easily do it yourself (there are some good videos online) but I did not want to be taking a brand new car apart.

I typically buy these for my cars; I stick them on the driver's side, close to the rear view mirror, and as high as possible. I find blendmounts make detectors hang too low, reducing visibility.
