Programming additional key fob

Hello all. For my 2018 M550i, I purchased an identical key fob online, key is not cut and really don't need it cut. I purchased this key fob to program it for use with a Eurostart remote start system I am going to have installed and requires giving up a key fob. Does anyone know how to program the fob or does this require a dealer visit?

It is not possible to program a used keyfob by aftermarket. Only way you can have another functioning key for your car at this point is by buying a new one at the dealer. There no aftermarket solution yet that I knof of to program BDC2 keys.

The key is not aftermarket at all. It is a BMW key fob, just not purchased from the dealer.

I did the same for my eurostart. No way around this coz i looked for one just like you are doing now. Found nothing and I ended up just buying one from the dealership.

You did not understand me, if you bought a key (Original) other than the dealer it means it is allready programmed to another car, you can not reprogram that key to be used on your car and you need to buy a brand new key from the dealer for your car.
