Doesnt seem to be a hardware problem. I tested two CICs that were coded by two different guys. Navigation remains greyed out.. Do you have any other idea? Otherwise I have to go to a BMW dealer next week. Thanks in advance!

The FSC is not correctly loaded. You need to flash cic to stock, either use can filter to install the other cic or write new vin to cic and than corectly apply patch and fsc. If he used HU Tool 2.6 to apply the fsc it will most likely not work if the HU has newer Istep.

Problem solved and 400 euros lighter...

The coder that was supposed to update my maps obviously used wrong FSCs. He was pretty pissed when I showed him mrgicm's suggestion. So, I officially went to the next BMW dealer (who called the guys from Munich for what they made me pay extra). BMW wanted to sell me a new CIC for 1.2k, before they even checked my BMW. I had to insist that they use a repair FSC. it worked however, they charged me 400 euros for a repair FSC and a pointless call to munich..

Just bought a used f10 530d, it has the wide pro nav screen but nav is greyed out , does it have nav and just need a map update and FSC Code or has it just not got it? Vin decode seems to hint it has pro nav so Im hopeful

Hi shawn i use hutool to generate fsc for carplay put files to usb flash drive and connected usb to usb port after 1 min my nbtevo restart itself and my navigation says loading and greyed out can you pleas help me ? My last 7 digit of my vin is k897767 thanks a lot

shawnsheridan I just installed a new head unit... what PM are you sending out in this thread?

I had condensation from my air vents fry my hard drive and had to do a replacement

I sent an email to Gerry asking for instructions and will hopefully be buying the FSC codes here soon. Just curious to know if there are additional steps to putting the FSC codes back in place.

I have this issue . Car was fine for around 6 months
Then voice actavitation stopped working and navigation greyed out . Car is a E90 320d LCI. Any ideas please

Just happened all by itself? You did nothing? No coding?

If your Nav is greyed out it means the nav FSC code is not accepted. This can be fixed by buying a FSC repair pack, or by applying the Patched FSC, for applying the patched you have to patch your Head unit in order to accept the non OEM FSC codes. One of those tools is HU tool, but I dont reccoment this as this is the old way and can result in lot of problems.

sometimes coding crashes, NBT unit goes to Theif production mode. If your NBT is factory fitted, services can provide activation code for it. Otherwise you need FSC kit to activate it

I took my car for the e90 LCI recall at BMW, and after getting the car back the Navigation is Greyed out, ive reset it a few times and it dont work at all, is anyone able to fix this for me, im in London, UK

If it was working before Dealer Service, and returned from Service messed up, why wouldn't dealer be fixing it?

they said they cant do anything because the wires look tampered so left without a satnav cos of BMW
