Cluster colors
I've noticed that some people state their cluster color stays white even in Sport mode. My cluster in Sport mode is orange and I prefer white. Can anyone help with coding the cluster to stay white all the time? Which values should I change in Esys/Bimmercode (expert mode)?
Has anyone had this done? |

Bought my first 2017 530i 3 weeks ago. Spending most of my time scouring this forum for as much information as possible about maintenance, tips, and others experiences. |

I don't think you can change anything on the half digital, the alpina dash can be coded on the full digital one and that is the only change I've heard of in terms of dashboards.

Sport mode on full digital dash can be converted into white from orange/red. But Comfort mode will still remain white at day and orange at night (normally sport mode is always orange/red). Additionally, all modes can be converted into Alpina.

Do you know where I can make that change in Esys or Bimmercode?

Yeah it does. But I hate how it changes to orange at night. It throws off the ambient lighting imo.
Now, since I have the sport display white, I've coded the default driving mode to sport individual. I pretty much use sport individual as my comfort mode and actual sport mode for my sportier driving. That way I can keep the cooler sport dash display at all times. |

I followed exactly what Moozin said in previous post. However, I did not use Esys. I used Expert Mode on Bimmer Code (very easy). Then I coded my default driving mode to Sport Individual. Works perfectly. Now when I start my car, it starts with the white Sport mode cluster. I adjusted Sport Individual with all comfort settings. You can do that through the ID6 vehicle settings. In other words, Sport Individual (my default mode) drives like Comfort mode and the regular Sport mode is still the original sport settings.

I'm in the process of searching for this answer. The climate controls are white during the day and I totally wish they can just stay white instead of switching to orange at night. I was told by Almaretto that it wasn't possible.

Sport mode in my G30 was always orange until I coded it to be white. I just don't like how the orange clashes with the other colors of the ambient lighting.
