Hi,
Has anyone already found out whether there are a few lci functions available for the prelci? My Pre LCi vehicle received the 11-2020 update from the dealer and in bimmercode I found the following LCi functions in expert mode: - Dyanamic Ambient Light/ flashing Ambient Light in the door when Open - FES Ambient Light / Changing Color in Sport Mode? - Did someone know how to get CarPlay Navigation in to the hud? I activated that once in BDC "Ambiente_RGB_lauflicht_bei_tueroffen" , but nothing has changed for me, I would like to bring the ambient light in the doors flashing when they are open, just like in this Video: at 1:15 |

Prostar, what is the Nov 2020 update for pre-LCI? Is this in addition to the July 2020 update that was published? Is the Nov 2020 update for the idrive 7 lite?

My 2018 just had the same update earlier in December. I would love these features as well (running lights with a door open and color change in Sport mode). Fingers crossed.

What do you mean by toggle? Is it for ID6 or ID7 car? And which parameters did you change?

BDC module in bimmercode then go to expert mode. Search ambient lighting up top when all the options come up scroll down to ambient modus and click on toggle. It will make your top ambient lighting light up and slowly fade to the next color. I just can't find out how to get the lower lights to come on at the same time. It only lights up the upper pier toon of the ambient lighting

OK I've coded it and now I understand what you mean. Lower LED strips doesn't work at all. I thought they weren't changing colors Also there is no menu item to stop it switching colors or selecting which colors to light on.

I’m running 11-2020 too, would love to see if we can code some of the lci features in to pre lci cars. Everything mentioned above would be great.
Follow up questions. I know it’s easy to code the Bronze ambient setting to any colour combo you want, before I dig out my esys laptop, is it possible to do that in all colour items in the menu, ie so they are all custom colours? Also I know cheat sheets don’t exist anymore as such, but code my car has a list of things they can code on g30s. Is there an easy way to find out the coding parameters for these items? Thanks |

Neither, it’s the istep integration level of the car. When the dealer does a software update of the whole car, their software compares the software versions of all modules in the car against the latest and if any need updating, it updates them all to the latest and once they are all on the latest, it will be at the latest integration level. So 11-2020 is the latest version of software for all modules, it’s more like a collection of software packages grouped by date. I had mine updated as the car went to bmw just before I bought it

Thanks for the info 325_Bucks. What new features/options does this update add? Is there a way I can see what version of software my car is running (to see if it has this update)?
