Not sure if that will work; I just use one of the "approved" BT-dongles with Bimmercode.

I take that you know, that the brightness for the ambient lights can be adjusted in the menu; do you want them even brighter than the maximum setting?

Yes it works fine with Enet Cable and RJ45 adapter, I have changed the color on mine. Keep in mind that you can only edit the first color from the list on the idrive and although it will show the default color in the idrive menu in reality it will illuminate with the color chosen in the bimmercode app.

I don't remember an option to further adjust the brightness with bimmercode.

Yes you can. Bimmercode has 2 settings for upper and lower strips.

To change the rest of the color options you need to use the expert mode and code the colors in Hex format.

BTW, you can not change the brightness of the LEDs even in expert mode.

There are 3 LEDs on the strips: Red Blue and Green. Entering hex values between 00-FF adjust the brightness of each LED, hence selects the final color. FF is the most bright setting. if you enter FF FF FF all 3 will light on at full brightness and theoretically should give a white color which is the brightest light u can ever get from the LEDs. But, on G30 FF FF FF results in slight pinkish color

For the RGB color codes you can use this site to have a general idea:
https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/...gb-to-hex.html

And for the coding go into the expert mode in Body Domain Controller and search for ambiente. A series of long line of codes are the ones related with the RGB profiles of ambient lights

Thanks - that is really interesting. So, I had changed mine about a month ago, just added one new setting.

So, if I am understanding correctly the new color will not show, but if I select the first color on the iDrive menu, it will be the color I coded? I was wondering what happened.

Yes exactly, I have only used Bimmercodes's normal mode and that is how it works.
I cannot say anything about expert mode as I haven't tried it.

I really wish BimmerCode would put up more options to change on easy mode than just Bronze.
