M Sport Brakes and 18" 619 rims

Hello friends,

I have a G30, 530i Xdrive with M Sport package.
My current rims are 19", 664M model (different sizes tiers front 245/rear 275)

Now I found some winter packs (18" rims + tiers) at BMW representative nearby but on their OEM online shop says that won't fit M Performance brakes.

The proposed rim model is 18", 619.
I am puzzled a bit, M Performance brake is not the same as M Sport ?!

More confusion, if I re run the original car configurator that I used to buy the car, the selected M Sport package will forbid any other rim than 662M (18"), 664M (ones that I have 19") and the 20" versions.

So the big question is will fit 619 rims on my baby?
How can I figure out what brakes do I have other than they are blue?

Thanks a lot in advance!

In the UK, any G3X MSport with an engine greater than 520d has the blue M Sport brakes and has the 664M alloys as standard.

You defo can't have 17" and I'm pretty sure 18" is the smallest size. Look at this thread: https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1440456

Poster has dropped from the 19" to 18" with the M Sport brakes. If you want clarification go to any BMW dealer with your VIN, they will tell you what you can/can't have.

M Perfromance brakes (red calipers) and M Sport brakes (blue calipers) are not the same.

BMW say you need minimum 19" for M Performance ones.
18" are fine with M Sport brakes.
You can go with 18" style 619

Thank you gents!

I already mounted 619 with M Sport brakes and fits just fine.

One thing noticed though.. now I can feel a little instability, lateral shaking (was windy today) over 150Km/h.. definitely with summer tiers, wider on rear (275/35/19) was solid like a rock. Stable up to 240.

Perhaps Pirelli are the best after all?

Thanks again!

PS. I saw your 540i... what can I say, congrats! I regret I didn't choose 3liter one. Bi-turbo 2l works fine, but if you really need some torque after 180, you're lost.

Wow, I can't believe 17s fit! I mean, not safely, but they fit.
