G30 LCI Headlight retrofit

I have just done a G30 LCI Full retrofit including rear LCI Lights (this was done last year in October) and now the front end inclding LCI LED Adaptive Headlights.

In case anyone is wondering Hood, fenders and parking senzors are the same as pre LCI, even the bumper suppport is the same. Different is the front bumper, grills , Headlights and some other bits and pieces. Coding and connecting took some custom work and coding took me a while to figure it out as it is not straighforward but got it eventually. Still working on a permanent solution for the front turn signal but that will also be sorted out. Welcome lights, low beams, high beams and dazzle lights all work normally.

Here are the pictures:

Did you find a coding solution for the welcome lights on the LCI tail light retrofit?

+ all coding steps needed for rear lights retrofit would be very helpful for many preLCI owners

On the few cars here in Europe I installed it I have it working with no problem (no errors, welcome lughts work everything is 100% oem). However I cant say the same for US cars as I dont know if there is any differnece in hardware/coding software for US cars.

As I understand you didn't include the new front grill? How does the old (smaller) grill fit on the new bumper? New grill requires hood change which will complete the full LCI look.

BTW LCI adaptive headlights have dark line problem and less brightness when compared to pre-LCI adaptive LEDs. Did you make a before/after comparison of AdaptiveLEDs?

The grill is the new one oem from LCI. The pre LCI hood is the same as the LCI. Bumper, Grills and headlights are different.

Does your car still have steering adaptation in the headlights? I didn't notice this in a loaner I had recently that was LCI.

Yes I did, and several others as well. Everything works without any errors. Only thing that is a problem on some cars is after 7 days of the car is sitting the battery managment comes on, which suggests there is a small battery drain somewhere (I suspect it is due to sw in the module).

Hello, did you managed to get turning signals working without emulator? I've heard that it is possible...

it is not possible, because pre LCI uses separate turn signal wire from BDC2 and LCI uses BDC3 and turn signal over can. BDC2 is not possible to code to use turn signal over can so you need a emulator (module) for this. I agree the current solution with the module is expensive.

Hi mrgicm, I have pre-LCI 2020 G30 and I have retrofitted laser headlights, but the problem is that Anti-dazzle function doesn;t work. It is EU spec car.
High Beam assistant working fine, but anti-dazzle not at all. No errors. Have you faced with this kind of problem? I use emulator from **************, but I think it has nothing to do with HBA and Anti-dazzle as it let you make the indicators working only.

Thanks.
