M-Performance Engine Cover 540i B58

Hi All,

I can't seem to find a part number or the existence of the M-Performance Engine Cover for a 540i.

I can find the for the following
140i
240i
340i
440i

Does any one know if they will fit on a 540i after all it is the same B58 engine?

I've been looking at all the nice carbon fiber beauty covers as well. When asking all the vendors they all told me that even though the cover is the same, the mounting points are in different locations.

I have found one from a X3 M40i and according to a parts website it should fit,

I have ordered it and will update the thread if it fits

I did the same thing, but was told that it wouldn't fit. Please let me know if it fits!

Also curious about this. Hoping that X3 M40i one fits as it's the closest to ours given it's a G-chassis as well. Fingers crossed!

Hi

It was a very easy replacement, simply removed the old one ( 4 clips ) two front and two rear and aligned the new one and pressed down on clips

It came with the foam already present.

This one was not brand new as did not want to pay for something that may not have fitted.

It came from a X3 G01 M40i

There are a few of these on ebay for about $95 but seems each one has a tab missing or chipped...just letting y'all know about them. Might be worth it for a third the price of a new one...

There are CF covers, none specifically for the G30. Mostly Supras and F-chassis stuff.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Saw a guy with an M4 recently on a YouTube video put a new engine cover on and I started shopping. Learned real quick I was probably out of luck…for now anyways. Thanks for confirming! 👏

I've been eying a CF cover since I bought the car. Still keeping my eyes open, I'll let everyone know as soon as one pops up!
