Is there a way to switch off the auto start/stop function while parking? I find it pretty annoying that the car switches on and off while I’m trying to park (in a full garage where I have to slowly approach bikes etc. and park very close to them so that the garage door can close...).

I would have thought that by manually activating the parking cameras, the auto start/stop would deactivate as well.

Any ideas? Is this otherwise programmable?

I agree. I have muscle memory to just click the sport button on mine when pulling in. Seems to do the trick.

Spend $30 on Bimmercode and another $25 or so on a BT ODB dongle and set ASS to remember your last setting which for me is Off all the time.

As intimated above…ASS is deactivated in sport mode. You can press the button but I found just popping the gear shift lever over into the M/S gate was easier and quicker before I coded ASS off. You can do this in traffic as well (if you don’t want the car to be turning off & on)…just push the gear shift lever over into the M/S gate…and its just as easy to flip it back to D if you don’t want to be in sport mode. This can be done without even looking down (as you would need to do in many cases using the ECO PRO/COMFORT/SPORT SWITCH button.
