Driver side door squeak

This just randomly started happening. Every time I hit anything that's not smooth in the road I hear this annoying sound. Just a small squeak, anyone else have or have fixed?

Might be the door seals?

On previous cars this was fixed for me by applying gummifledge to the rubber.

Don't use silicon and also don't use polish on the metal where it meets the rubber door seals as it may cause creaks.

Presumably you can replicate by slowly driving over a bump , something that will cause the body to flex ever so slightly

I just started getting this on the front passenger door. I slimed lube all over the door seals and it did not help.

I remember when I had a F30 340i a lot of forum members fixed this with a piece of clear teflon tape along the top edge where the gaskets meet the metal frame. So I might mess around with that next.

Do you get the same if you lower the window ever so slightly?

It's strange, if I lower it about two inches then it stops. I think... no idea

That sounds like the door seals to me. Exact same symptoms I had on my e39 and f10 which I resolved with an application of gummifledge (which is a rubber protector). Used to be sold by bmw but don't think it is today so just oem.)

Was noticiblebwhenever the body twisted such as over a bump or incline and the rubber door seal would stick against the metal of the car and cause this noise as it moved . The application of this spray stopped it immediately and lasted for a very long time.

I had an E39 that would squeak like a crazed squirrel constantly, requiring all kinds of teflon and gummifledge and mouse fur and was just a huge PITA. My F06 also suffered the same issue as did my last 7 series.

Thank you BMW.

Gummifledge is readily available through multiple vendors, and is the best solution that I've found.
