What is Your Ideal Exhaust?
Hi Guys! We are planning some exciting new changes for our line of BMW products and would love to hear your opinions on what makes the perfect exhaust system. This type of feedback from the community helps us make decisions for future development and fine tune our products to the needs of the customers. 1) What sound level do you prefer from a performance exhaust system? PICK ONE: Stock Slightly louder than stock Noticeably louder than stock Aggressively louder than stock 2) What tip finish/style would you want in a performance exhaust system? PICK ONE: Polished Satin Finish Satin Black Carbon fiber Titanium 3) What material do you want when buying a performance exhaust system? PICK ONE: Standard 409 stainless steel Higher cost 304 stainless steel Titanium (this would be best but it depends on price) 4) What’s most important when looking to upgrade a stock exhaust system? RANK FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: 1st Horsepower/Torque 2nd Weight reduction 3rd Ability to handle flow requirements due to other modifications 4th System longevity

I find these cars come with decent power already but they are missing the emotional pull that comes from a more involving exhaust note. For the m550 in particular, an exhaust isn't going to add much power but just a little more burble off idle at a bit more noise in general would make the the experience feel MUCH more special. I would put the quality of the sound above any of the other considerations! |
