This problem seems fairly random to me. Certainly doesn't occur every time the car goes to sleep. But we also use preconditioning in the mornings, so the AC is sort of already running... should maybe test if that makes a difference.

All in all, this issue happens every week or two in our use. We got one driver driving to work and the other doing pretty much rest of the driving in the evenings and weekends, but not every day.

And it always seems to reset the same settings: temperature, a/c, sync, upper body temp, auto recirc, fan speed

Exactly. How did BMW not realize this when test drove the car. Dealership has no answer, everything is checked perfectly in computer. I set up driver profile in quick buttons, my wife now takes my key, hits the quick button and changes to her profile. Only happens when you switch keys. Profiles on the same key keeps all the ac settings.

Thanks! I guess I'll have to go talk to my dealer.

Visited my local dealer about this issue. They wanted to take the car in for investigation and take it from there. They told me there is nothing they can do, besides start the warranty repair process, which means running testers and most likely try and replace parts. I refused and told them I'll rather be waiting for a software update..

I'm disappointed that there is no way to escalate this further without letting them to tear my car apart for what I know won't fix the issue.

Not worth it. Minor inconvenience not worth letting them rip your car apart to have no answer on a fix.

Had my car software updated two weeks ago. So far so good, have not experienced this issue since then.

My previous istep version was S15A-17-03-509 and the new one is S15A-17-11-541

I also faced the similar issue with my car air conditioner. I had no so much technical knowledge. Whenever I faced that problem at that time contacted the ac repair dubai support center. Then I solved the problem. I think such type of problem really wanted our valuable time and increased our depression.
