My G31 (prod date 2020-06-17) came with an older software version (found under remote software upgrade, either 2019/07 or 2020/07 I can't recall. I am aware that my model cannot do remote software update)

After a recall and visit to the dealer, the software how shows as being upgraded to 07/2023.27

I was hoping that after this update, I would be able to enable the Amazon Alexa personal assistant, but it still shows as "not supported" in the my BMW app.

Does anyone know if this just will never work? Did I missunderstand that my lack of this feature was just due to me having an older version of the software?

My production date is December 2017 and Alexa is available but having tried it I find I have no use for it and prefer the long press on the microphone button which calls up google assistant.

I suspect your G31 was the previous model year and just missed out

In case this comes up in any Google searches, after about 48 hours of me being cross, the addtional apps such as Alexia and the Laptimer appeared.

I use the Laptimer feature to see now long before I am asked by my son 'Are we there yet?'
