BMW M4 GTS and BMW M2 make an appearance at the Montreal Auto Show
Just came home from the Montreal Auto Show pre-show and finally saw the GTS and M2 in the flesh.
The GTS looks aggressive in person and I know the 666M wheels have gotten a lot of hate on the forums but they're starting to grow on me and they look much nicer in person. Much more "straight cut" around the spokes than the 359M's are. Here are the pics I took. Forgive the quality... bonus pics of a Fire Orange M3 and a C63S coupe!! The design direction MB is going with the new C and E class just doesn't do it for me. They look like what a Hyndai or Kia look like in my head. Now, that's a compliment to those car and wow, they've done a great job lately. I am merely saying that MB has lost a distinctiveness that BMW has managed to maintain ( so far at least... )

My buddy was convinced that it was an S-class coupe before checking out the badge on the rear. I agree that MB has incorporated a lot of visual styling cues from the S-class into its more pedestrian vehicles. Maybe that's a good thing, I don't know. I still think the C63S coupe looks mean and aggressive in real life.
The BMW M2 surprised me the most. Its rear fenders are WIDE and they aren't captured very well in pictures, IMO. Looks like a pitbull ready to attack |

I love everything you posted. I'm definitely warming up to those wheels myself, and have always been a huge fan of Fire Orange.
I can't wait to see the M2 in person.

They looked amazing, like snake skin if that makes any sense. They're actually OLED.

Nice post....not sure what the deal is but those wheels still look horrid on the GTS....reminds me of some kind of halloween spider web decorations or something. Black or plain silver would go a long way to making those things look great.
C63 Coupe is gonna be a problem, that car looks the business. Dare I say even better than the GTS.. "looks"...settle down people "looks" better, not is better. |
