non-run flat recomendations?
I need to replace my OEM run flats. I wanted to go away from the run flats, but I need to pick an all season tire because I live in New England. I used to swap between summer/winter tires on my old 330 convertible, but I just don't want to deal with swapping the tired out on my 5-series.
I did a search on the forums and it seems most people are lucky enough to live in mild climates and go with the Michelin PS4S. I cant do that. Has anyone used the PS4 AS? or have any other recommendations for a non-run flat all season tire? Thanx |

Most people are going with either the Michelin PS4AS that you mentioned above or the Conti Extremcontact DWS6+. I haven't bought my new tires yet for the wheelset on its way to me, but I've been going back and forth between these two.
IOW, I'm not much help regarding your question. |

On my previously owned e90 and f30, I upgraded to summers right away. However, I stayed with the runflats on my 540i ‘cause the ride was fine. I grabbed Michelins PS4s and while I would get 1 year on the rears and 2 years on the front summers, I got 2 years on the rears and the front are still pretty good on the runflats.
I’m due for the rears now so I’ll stick with the Michelins. |
