Wheel fitment
I have been reading all over the place and I am getting ready to order some wheels but would like confirmation on offset. Going with ForgedLite MC6 wheels. They have been very helpful answering my questions. For wheel size I am looking at 19x9 up front and 19x10 in the rear with 255/40r19 and 285/35r19 for tire size. I think those will mount up pretty square and not have a stretched look.
They recommended 19x9+30 front and 19x10+38 rear. 2019 M550i, stock ride height. I thought the offset (particularly in the rear) might be a little small? I can always add a small spacer with a larger offset, but not the other way round. I've searched and read and I think these are a good fit, but wanted to double check. |

19x10 ET38 will stick out farther than the stock 19x9 ET44 or 19x8 ET30.

Thanks for the link. I played around with their calculator and to be on the safe side I'm going to go with 19x8.5 +30 and 19x9.5 +40. Production time on the wheels is 8 weeks so this spring I'll post up some pics!

Need some assistance.
Have 20x10.5 Vossen HF-1’s. Was looking to fit on my 2019 M550i. Worried it won’t fit. Had staggered 245/275 19’s stock. Is 10.5 too big for the front? I know rear is no issue. My plan was 265/275 or 265/285 |

I bought 20x9 et30 / 20x10.5 e40 and am fitting 255/35r20 & 295/30r20 tires. They aren't installed yet, though. So, can't comment with personal experience. My research says they'll fit just fine, though. I believe I will have space to run a 5mm spacer if I want, but won't know until they are installed.
None of my research showed that anything over 9.5" fronts will fit, and even they are dependent on tire width. Likely would need a little stretch to squeeze 9.5's in without rubbing.. |

I don't have X-Drive, but I have changed the tire type and speed in the iDrive and it changes the recommended pressures. The sensors just report pressures, regardless of tire size. The recommended pressures are more dependent on tire type than size. You'll notice a change in reported pressures depending on tire/ambient temperatures.

I don’t know why people have said they’ve had tire pressure fault issues. Who knows.
