Bottoming out going up driveway?

So I'm toying with the idea of getting an M550i xdrive but I wanted to get owners' experiences on how it does going up steep-ish driveways. Do you find yourself scraping the front lip often? The front end looks pretty low in the pictures I see.

I used to have an Infiniti Q50 Red Sport and I would scrape the front end on my driveway if I weren't driving super slow.

it's low. You need to go slow over big dips and steep inflections. I've bottomed out a few times. The good side is it is not the front lip that scrapes, but a plastic skirt that protrudes down below the front bumper, maybe 6-8 inches behind the lip. Not sure if it is just an air baffle, or just some sacrificial thing to let you know you need to slow it down. You also need to watch for this when parking, if there is a parking stop bar. The park/distance control does a good job of alerting you to these low hazards when parking.

Bottoming out going up driveway?

On stock suspension, I'd sometimes scrape the plastic oil pan protector under the front of the car. As for actual parts with paint, I have never scraped anything. Surprisingly, the car has never scraped anywhere at all after lowering lol

Mine doesn't scrape nearly as often as my M4 did, but you have to be careful, and sometimes enter at an angle, one tire at a time.

I've roughed up the black chin flappy parts, mostly on speed humps though.

I have a front splitter/lip on mine and just go over at an angle, no issues.

I have a M550. I scrape on one side of my driveway every time (unless I go really slow and on an angle).

I have to go slow and at an angle when leaving work, but it's a steep incline. Scrapes baffle, not the the body.

With very steep driveways, I find it useful to go in at an angle.

And it's not the front that will be as big of an issue as the rear. When I back down a steep driveway, my car considers it an obstacle and slams on the brakes. Scares the sh!t out of me every time.
