Dears,
My Bmw G30 have a basique 8.8 display without any fonctionality (photo 1) so I purchased an BMW G30 NBT EVO 10.25" Navigation System Kit GPS Professional Navi from Ebay ( photo 2) .
1-do I need any further cables or adaptor to fit my Car .
2-do I need to flash and code the new NBT ? is it possible to do it remotely or by USB? and how much it will cost me ?
3- Any further information is more than welcome .

I dont know if can be remote

Unfortunately, I'm unable to see the photo, but.

You need:
1. NBT unit body
2. CID (display) 10 inch
3. Controller (fob)
4. New cable from CID to body
5. New OABR connector to connect NBT to body Ethernet - 61139299610
6. Reconnect ATM to NBT body and install additional Ethernet line from BDC to NBT

Nice to have:
1. Wi-Fi antenna
2. Second microphone
That's all

don't forget the USB connector from the basic system is different and need to be changed.

however, I have some questions :

1- what is the utility of OABR connector? coding? we can't do the coding only by USB or by ODB2 ?

2- Screen connector It is necessary to cut off, to cat what exactly?

3- USB connector: remove all unnecessary and turn 180 degrees?

My car also has the "basic radio" with the 8.8" display, however, the controller has "NAV" and "MAP" buttons. It also has all the Connected Drive features, so I can track down my car etc. - so it sure has a GPS antenna.

If I wanted to retrofit the Navigation Business, i could reuse my controller and screen, and would possibly only need a new headunit. Where is the best place to source one, what about coding it to the car so Connected Drive etc. works - and what about FSC codes, where do you get those?

Hi! I've read it in Russian. You can find a lot useful stuff on drive2.ru btw.
1 - coding as far as I understood, but if you start this project one cable worth it to be fixed along with the others
2 - if you look at the connector, it's made of two parts - 4pins round with "tooth" and 2pins rectangular. You need to cut off rectangular part and remove "tooth", so you can rotate and plug round connector.
3 - same as 2

Damn BMW. They sure make the smaller screen ugly, so much you want to upgrade to the ProNav. In the UK, the ProNav is standard on all G3X

Anyway, it's been a while since I retrofitted a NBT to my previous F31 but surely you will also need NBT Emulator? This is to bypass the VIN check between the NBT, Maps and the car. Otherwise the Navigation won't fire up.

As the donor VIN won't match your car, you'll prob end up losing ConnectedDrive services such as RTTI.

finally, I was able to do the HW instalaltion , unfortunately, the GPS is not working ( no GPS port "blue one" in my purchased NBT evo ).
the coding was done by a local professional, now I have everything working except GPS position ( no antenna ).

1- Carplay : OK
2- screen mirroring OK .
3- touch screen : OK.
4- DVD in motion .

There must be some kind of GPS antenna present in the car. My NBT Evo doesn´t have navigation either, but it has a feature where I can track the cars location via the Connected Drive app.
