26,000 miles, tires need replacement

I was told my tires need replacement. I need an all season tire and non runflat. What should i buy.

I personally think the Michelin ps4s are the best All season tires out right now.

I love my Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 on my current car. The BMW will be run-flat so I can't use them, but if I find the run-flats to be shit I plan on jumping over to these non-run flats.

The Pilot Sport 4S excels in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Max Performance Summer tires, is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

I'll second the DWS06. Those are my "winter" tires, and I run the stock Goodyears the rest of the year. I've driven in 2-3" of snow on the DWS06, and they felt fine. Probably not as good as full winter tires, but we don't get cold enough for long enough for me to justify a full winter set.

I went from the OEM 20s to 19s with Pirelli P-zero all season non runflats. I’m very happy with them.

I have always been a big Michelin fan, but the last set of A/S 3+/whatever I had were difficult to keep balanced, one was so bad it was replaced by Michelin and the others required constant attention as they wore down, and the shop told me that they have a lot of problems with these tires. That said, performance was wonderful.

Currently I just recently tossed the Eagle Sport ROF (OE) 19" with Pirelli Sport All Season conventional. Much better ride quality, quieter, and handling and responsiveness are excellent.

I was not happy with my Bridgestone DWS A/S on my E39 M5, but apparently I'm an outlier on this as I hear nothing but good things from other people on those tires.

I took car to my mechanic today. He said tires are fine, wearing along front corners because I drive it the way it's supposed to be driven. No metal showing and middle of tire gas plenty of thread. Tire rotation and save $1200 for now v

Here's another fan of Continental DWS all season non run-flat tires on my 19 M550i.
Happy with their performance, no need for separate winter and summer wheels and tires......one wheel/tire set does it all year around. If I lose a tire, there is a spare in the trunk.

BMW delivered my car with summer Goodyear Eagle run-flats, which I took immediately off the car and sold them.

Given that your locations is listed as NY and you ran through a set in 26K I would assume you'd want something with a good balance of performance and winter capability (unless you alternate summer/winter tires). Long as your vehicle is running the P245/45R18 I'd recommend the Michelin PREMIER A/S.

i also vote for conti dws06, i had them on my cayenne s and put them on my dads mercedes as well. great tire in all conditions and even driven them many times in the snow. they last pretty long as well.

They were looking to make easy money. Wonder how many people they scare into new tires. I rotated them at firestone, tech told me the tires are fine. Wearing on driver front corner. I think it's from pulling into my driveway, tight turn. My lexus rx350 has same exact wear on that tire.

Have run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ tires on my wife's E350 since we ditched the runflats it came with when it was new. My experience with them has been nothing short of fantastic, with no adverse issues whatsoever, and good wear. Just my $.02.

PS: 26 K miles is a lot, I've never made it that far on a set!

You need to tell us more information. First, seeing you are from NY, are you prepared to change back and forth between winter and summer (or winter and all season) tires? If not, how much winter driving do you do? How well are the streets plowed? Would an all weather tire work for you? During the summer, do you drive enthusiastically? Etc.

Without this type of information, you are gleaning what we all like from our perspectives which may not reflect yours.
