Video in motion with BimmerCode?
Has anyone done it? It looks like I can access the head unit via the app.

I did it with the beta version but haven't tested it yet.

I coded the Video in Motion today with Bimmercode and ODBLink CX. However I cannot get Miracast to work on my android Note10+ all the time. It's always been buggy and I could never play a video on it at all even when parked. Any ideas?

I had to code video in motion manually as Bimmercode didn't do the trick.
Several "SPEEDLOCK" entries were still active. I just couldn't figure out how to get ViM working with the Drive Recorder. This still refuses to use playback while driving. Any ideas? |

Details on how you got it working? I used BimmerCode last night and it worked initially then stopped working in the morning. ***EDIT*** BimmerCode coding is tied to the driver key/profile so I just needed to do it again with my other key and both now work just following on-screen prompt.

I edited everything with "SPEEDLOCK" in the name in the head unit.
Every speedlock entry with "condition" in the name, disable it. Set it to "nicht_aktiv" or "none". Set ""speedlock_speedvalue" entries (...min and ...max) to 0 km/h Set SPEEDLOCK_FREISCHALTMENU to "aktiv"! "freischaltmenu" means "unlock menu", so this has to be set to "aktiv" (=active) After coding, you have to open this unlock menu: - go to the iDrive homescreen - push and hold the idrive controller up/forward - while holding, push in sequence: Media > Home > Media The unlock menu will appear. Select "deactivate Speedlock". I found a video which describes the process very well: |

You could, in theory, stream from a streaming site via the browser to the iDrive screen. Not sure how it would "check" but I also havent tried. I used to have Netflix in my Accord and would connect it to my cell hotspot on long drives, it was pretty nice to have. I'm sure we'll get App support down the road
