Aftermarket amp Wiring issues

Aloha all,
I have a 2014 F30 that I recently gave to my son and picked up a 2023 G30. I love G30 because of the added space (being 6’ it’s awesome) and also loved the F30. I have a bit of a problem though right now with the G30. I installed an amp and sub into the F30 by tapping a LOC to the speaker wires myself. I then picked up the 2023 G30 and thought I could do the same but now I have no sound and the warning systems are not working either. Any ideas? I put Everything back together but it hasn’t been corrected yet. Do I need to drive it more for it to reset or do I need to do a reset? PLEASE HELP!

Maybe you severed wires when you installed your taps. Have you used a multimeter to verify continuity before and after the tap you've removed?

So, I took out the taps and readjusted the wire harness from the amp and it all went back to normal. Now I'm waiting to grow back some balls and attempt it again. I'm not sure if I tapped into the wrong wires or if the amp harness was off a little bit. I can't find an updated wire tapping video to reference.

Which factory system do you have and which wires, exactly, did you grab signal from?

DK21 I'd recommend an aftermarket plug-and-play harness so you don't have to cut into your factory wires. I grabbed an add-a-sub harness here and it's worked great from day 1.
