FFS, what am I doing wrong? (Or, how the eff do I pair my garage door opener?)

Can someone clue me in to how to pair Homelink (2018 M540i XDrive, IDrive 6) to a Wayne Dalton Quantum 2312 garage door opener? I've read about 10 articles and watched several videos, and I can't get it to work.

90% sure it has rolling codes, btw. ...or at least I'm assuming so. I can't find a friggin user manual for it.

For me, the rolling codes is a bugger! Up and down the ladder several times pushing the learn button and back and forth to the car. IIRC, it took a few attempts. Another issue I ran in to was my opener can only store 5 remotes and when adding a new device, it randomly removes one of the previous remotes! It wasn't fun trying to find out which of my remotes got disabled!

Have you tried the Homelink web site for instructions and support? (https://homelink.com/)

Personally I had difficulty getting the programming to work between my BMW G30 (and a Honda) and a opener with rolling codes. I ended up calling their support center and received excellent support to get things working. I talked with a real person, and they spend about 30 minutes patiently talking me though the setup. They even emailed customized instructions for my scenario. All good!

Additionally, the instructions provided on the Homelink site (and BMW manual) did not work. The customer support call was key to a solution.

Yeaahhhh, so, apparently (even though it's not documented anywhere) my model of opener isn't compatible, per Homelink support. I really hate how cheap apartment managers are, sometimes.
