IS there a hole in the top of that figurine in the back, for inhalation? Reminds me of my misspent youth

LOL, no but you did make me double-check. That would be quite the bong if so as he's about 3' tall.

I had my first taste of Nigori last night. It was a promotional for the local high school, and they said it was the WHOLE check!!!!

I kinda like! 375 mil before a water board meeting though, that wasn't the best idea I had all day.

With my last glass of the 23 y.o. rum tonight, I went full neat. No ice. Should have been doing this all along. Next time I'll know. And thanks, TXSTYLE for getting me to try rum. I'm liking it. I'll explore different types. Do you have a preferred country of origin?

Off the top of my head:

Dominican Republic

BUT, many fantastic Rums come from a range of Tropical areas: Bahamas, Cuba, Venezuela, and Guyana.

The key is at least 10yrs old and or "XO". Definitely try and locate the Plantation I pictured above. It is my new favorite! But it's always fun to explore. I believe you will be able to find: Zaya and Zacapa as they are more abundant.

Picked this up at the superstore. They have a huge selection. A little pricey but made it a local distillery.

Family is coming over today. In order to deal with them, yes, I will be properly prepped before they even walk in the door.

In order to do this, it will take something more than your typical beer or wine. I may start off with a Pisco Chilcano - Pisco is a distilled brandy from Peru. Smell and taste is off the chart.

Good luck to all of you in my footsteps. Festivities (drinking) starts at noon.

I'm out of town at a friends family for the festivities so shouldn't be much drama.

Cool - going away for the holidays is always king.

I lied in my last post...just went full blown martini. So damn good though...I'm gonna make another.

I found Oban14 to be very smooth but overly sweet. How is the hakushu?

Most definitely...made some a few weeks ago, even had my wife pick up some angostura bitters (or as I call them, agnostic bitters). Shame on me for not posting.
