Think its Mediterranean blue, but they used a movie effect filter on the camera that slightly changes the colour

Here is a Mediterranean blue 340i to see the colour

You can also see here Mediterranean looks quite dark in teh shade

My guess would be Mediterranean blue as well.
Maybe a filter as you say or maybe the clouded sky makes it look different than under bright sunlight as in your video

Lovely car though hoping that BMW UK make auto standard across the range as they have done with the saloon.

Autocar are reporting that prices will start at £38,385 which means easily hitting the £40k VED supplement. Decisions, decisions.

Damn the wagon hating US market. We don't get anything good. 540 would be sweet.

That's absolutely it. If you asked most people, would they rather have a 3 series Touring or an X3 for about the same price?

Besides, even at their peak when they were building E46 and E39 Tourings, how many do you actually see on the road? I almost never see them.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Tourings, and this G31 530d would be my ultimate DD. What a shame we don't get it, it's even better than the G30.

Because back when they did sell them hardly any sold in the USA.

In contrast, in some European markets the 3 Series Touring for example outsells the Sedan.

Here they cannot sell Tourings either as they are seen as "mommy vans" and no male will drive them.
So they were pulled from the market

The G31 turned out great.
But why no M sport dead pedal like in the G30 with M sport package?

They pulled Tourings from South Africa? Wow.

I love the idea of a sleeper "mommy van" that could destroy most cars while hauling both my dogs at the same time

Volvo will sell their V90 in the US. They will sell an allroad-like XC version that's lifted 2.5 inches and a regular height version that you will have to order, but they will ship to the US. Starts at $53k and comes in three trim levels. Their mid level is a ~300 hp turbo 4. They also offer a hybrid that includes a performance mode that leaves you with 400hp. I'll leave it to the boss as to whether she wants the little bit of ride height,

Wife is shopping for alternatives to retire the minivan. The G31 would have been an absolute no-brainer. It would be great if they could at least figure out an individual option to order. Yes, I get teh Federalization thing. Maybe trump will loosen up those regulations to improve business?

I know this is a BMW forum, but this is a 20+ year US owner sorting out options with a product gap in BMW's line. There seem to be others in my shoes.

(isn't that a strange sequence of words).

You'll take no wagon and like it. Buy an X5. It's what you want.

Is it the Germans, or BMW NA? Surely it is your side of the pond where the decision is made on what models sell well enough to put through type approval and fully support.

Same here in the UK, we don't normally get engine and gearbox options/models which don't sell in enough numbers.

We do like our 'wagons' over here.

Perhaps we (I) should stop whining and try to rally a petition. One of the problems I see is that the US market has been brainwashed to believe that the only way to survive the slightest bit of inclement weather is with an AWD SUV. The truck marketing machine here in the US did a good job and it's stuck as a cultural norm. I'm viewed as psychotic by onlookers because I drive my M3 in snow. What better time to drive then when the all the world's a skidpad. I'll try posting a petition link over at Bimmerforums, and I'll see about communicating into the CCA. In the meantime, people should vote here if they're interested.

Obama was right. If you don't like something, get out and do something about it...

Seriously - the GT models were the worst decision ever. How do they justify those over this?? Even the 3er wagon is heavily restricted on options - no rwd or 6 cylinder or manual

Agree with your comments, the latest word is Volvo will be offering the V90 as an order model only which makes total sense. Keep in mind this is only for the V90 the Cross Country will be on the lots. IMO the new V90 is really a beautiful design.

The V90 is beautiful inside and out, especially the rear end which is awful on the S90. The only issue is, I hated how the S90 drove. I had one as a rental a couple weeks back, Sixt carries it in the US now, and was not happy with it. It was the T5 version, so maybe the T6 would be better, but the steering was also a problem.
