Isn't it ironic that they've made/are developing an X1-7 line to "cover the whole market" but won't give us the damn wagons they already make!

Here they cannot sell Tourings either as they are seen as "mommy vans" and no male will drive them.
So they were pulled from the market
I would say that in Sweden the five series wagon outsells the sedan by 10 : 1. At least.

Of course not. Might cut into the fat ass SUV sales. F'm I would jump on a v8 or M5. RS6 Avant looks mad as hell too.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Tourings, and this G31 530d would be my ultimate DD. What a shame we don't get it, it's even better than the G30.
I hear your point, but the same can be said for diesel. And to be fair, I would hardly see any at the dealerships too (touring, that is). I guess supply and demand curve is a lot flatter in the US.

If 'mericuhans would stop buying so many stupid SUV's, we could have useful CARS again.

Unfortunately, they are ruining it for Canadians as well.

And cause they don't look as lame. Plus Americans generally like higher seating positions.

What better time to drive then when the all the world's a skidpad. I'll try posting a petition link over at Bimmerforums, and I'll see about communicating into the CCA. In the meantime, people should vote here if they're interested.

Obama was right. If you don't like something, get out and do something about it...
Thanks Obama!

Anyways,
We definitely should.
I know for a fact that's how Audi was able to bring the very first TT-RS in the US market.
Audi people/forum members signed a petition (including Facebook) for it and Audi listened.
If TT-RS can do it, 5 series touring definitely can do it too, time to make some business case BMW NA.
Stop being a pussy because of the numbers. You know cars are not all about the numbers.

Always love hearing Americans complain that the 5-series touring isn't available in the US anymore. Looks like you all want one now. But where were you when BMW *was* selling them?

This is funny.
BMW makes an English marketing statement showing a left hand drive car, which will not be sold in a native English speaking country with right side street driving
(I guess US/Canada would be the only two)

This reminds me of the fabulous Eddie: "you don't have no ice cream"

Did not know South Africa followed the lead of North America and removed the Tourings also? Will need to find out why? Is it the SUV effect?
In North America for example you have the 3er Touring being outsold by the X3. A relatively new model against an almost 7 year old SAV.

The upcoming X3 will feature a similar level of finesse as demonstrated by the 5er and 7er models. And will be up-to-date with the latest technology as well as some new features and advancements. Following that in 2018 will be an all new X5 model that will have an even greater sales advantage.

Bought an E34 touring, E39 touring, E46 touring and an E61 touring.
Now, the wife has an X540e. If there was a G31 (especially a PHEV), I'd buy it for sure.
